The Otterville High School Environment Science class participated in the statewide contest with the assistance of their teacher Ms. Tawyna Blades and Computer Technology Cordinator Adam Cox. These students produced a 60 second video on How to Protect Your Drinking Water. This video was preliminarily judged by the staff at Missouri Rural Water Association staff. The top five vidoes were then presented to the attendees at the annual conference of the Missouri Rural Water Association in March and the attendees at the conference selected the winner. The winner of this contest won $1,000.00 for the science department and a pizza party.
On May 3, 2010 there will be an assembly for the students at the school and a presentation of the check will be made at that time with representatives from the City and Missouri Rural Water Association.
Congratulations to Ms. Blades and her class on such a major accomplishment. |
